Persephone
Felder-Fentress, Associate Artist
Persephone Felder-Fentress
is an Associate Professor of Dramatics and Speech At Fisk
University, as well as a Professional performer and director.
She deems it most important for her students to know the theory
and practice of theatre, so she remains active in the business.
As a professional and educator, Persephone feels that one
enhances the other. She is a better teacher of the craft becuase
she actively practices it. Because she is a constant student
of her craft, any opportunity to "try out" knowledge
gained is welcomed. She has performed in regional, dinner,
and children's theatre, as well as film and commercials. Dreamgirls,
Michell; The Marriage of Figaro, Marcellina: A Midsummer's
Night Dream, Titania, and Peter Rabbit and Me, Beatrix Potter
are a few of her favorite shows and roles. Once on this Island,
Before It Hits Home, The Old Settler, Sophisticated Ladies,
The Wiz, Dreamgirls, and Home are some of the productions
she has directed.
